چکیده

This paper studies a modification of the imperialist competitive algorithm to solve constrained optimization problems with hybrid methods. The is kind evolutionary based on colonial competition mechanism imperialism, which type social heuristic algorithm. However, this needs be modified because some problems, including decreasing number empires, leads easily falling into local optimum, and lack information exchange among countries leading search ability being insufficiently strong. To these improve algorithm, newly improved methods proposed in paper. In crossover introduced as empire interaction boost countries. Two groups combinatorial operators are constructed process assimilation revolution algorithm’s global ability. Moreover, step splitting added empires decreased rapidly by decrease population diversity. Then, tested 12 benchmark functions 4 engineering constraints addressed Deb’s rules. results obtained compared those algorithms that have good recent years, it shown method obtains promising comparable benchmarks terms solution quality robustness.

Optimization of Hybrid Composite Laminate Based on the Frequency using Imperialist Competitive Algorithm

Imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) is a new socio-politically motivated global search strategy. The ICA is applied to hybrid composite laminates to obtain minimum weight and cost. The approach which is chosen for conducting the multi-objective optimization was the weighted sum method (WSM). The hybrid composite Laminates are made of glass/epoxy and carbon/epoxy to combine the lightness and...
